PARENT SUPPORT FOR COMPLICATED FAMILY SEASONS.

The Third Place offers mediation and co-parenting support for parents who want a clearer, calmer way to make decisions, reduce conflict, and center their family's needs. Each service is designed for a different kind of support.

Whether you're separated, divorced, going through a new family transition, or trying to communicate more smoothly across two homes, services are designed to help your family move forward with more structure and less stress.

PARENT MEDIATION

For parents who want support in making decisions together and creating clear, workable agreements.

Parent mediation is a helpful, structured space to work through parenting decisions with a neutral guide. The goal is to reduce existing conflict, clarify expectations, and help parents create practical, child-focused agreements that fit their family.

This may include:

  • Parenting schedules
  • School decisions
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Holidays, birthdays, and special events
  • Communication expectations
  • Transitions between homes
  • Medical or therapeutic care decisions
  • Reducing repeated conflict around parenting
$250 / hour
Most mediation sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes.

CO-PARENTING SUPPORT

For parents who need help communicating and functioning better across two homes.

Co-parenting support is for parents who may not need a formal agreement but want more consistency, structure, and calm in how they communicate and parent across households. This service helps parents address patterns that lead to conflict, build more productive communication strategies, and stay focused on what their children need most.

This may include:

  • Communication boundaries
  • Managing conflict around transitions
  • Creating consistency between homes
  • Reducing emotional reactivity
  • Supporting children through family changes
  • Clarifying roles and expectations
  • Developing practical tools for co-parent communication
$225 / hour
Available in 60- or 90-minute sessions.

CO-PARENTING CONSULTATION

For parents who need guidance before the conflict gets bigger.

Co-Parenting consultation is a focused service for parents facing a significant family change who want support from a child-centered, family-systems perspective. This is not therapy or legal advice. It is a space to think through next steps, talk through your concerns, and figure out what kind of support may be most helpful right now.

This may be a good fit if your family is going through:

  • Separation or divorce
  • Blended family changes
  • Adoption-related family transitions
  • Parenting after a major disruption
  • Changes to household structure
  • Concerns about how to talk with children about family changes
  • Questions about whether mediation, therapy, or legal support is the next step
$200
For a 60-minute consultation.

AN EXPLANATION OF FEES

The Third Place does not accept insurance for mediation, co-parenting support, or consultation services.

Payment is due at the time of service.

NOT SURE WHERE TO START?

That is completely normal. Most parents do not know whether they need mediation, co-parenting support, therapy, or legal guidance when they first connect.

A consultation can help clarify what makes the most sense for your family.
